One of my colleagues and his partner are expecting a baby any day now. He's German, she's Polish, and they speak English to each other.
So I realized the baby will grow up speaking English, Polish, and most likely German.
I'm envious of the language skills of a baby that hasn't even been born yet.

Kids acquire language soooo quickly it's insane. My superintendent is just here from Romania with two little kids and they're practically fluent in English after 3 months.
My sisters and I don't even remember learning how to speak French. My parents stuck us in kindergarten not knowing anything in French. Crazy, huh?
I wish someone had stuck me in Polish classes when I was 5.
Today I struggled with an automated message system in Polish, and then admitting defeat had to phone my friend to call the cab for me.
Don't worry, just find a boyfriend in Europe, for sure your kids will be trilingual as well ;-)
